   Shayla C. Smart is a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls. She is also a homemaker and a student but first she is a child of God!

      

      Born Shayla C. Jones, November 3, 1981 in Hot Springs, AR .there were many ups and downs that Shayla encountered in her life, from being raped as a child, to drinking, smoking, and promiscuity (just to name a few) she always knew that God had a special purpose for her life, and that all the trials and storms were not in vain. Custody of Shayla and  and her younger brother was given to their Grandmother; a strong; God fearing woman who strived to make sure that there was nothing for either of them to want for in  their lives.  Growing up in the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church Shayla served as a member of the Youth choir, Praise dance team, Sunday announcement reader, Sunday school Secretary, and Youth Department Leader, she learned at an early age that the title of leader is a big responsibility, and a job that must be taken seriously.

 

     . Living and growing up in a  midsize southern town ran its course, and Shayla moved to Seattle, WA in September of 1999, but the spiraling down fall of her life did not stop, satan continued on his path of trying to destroy her.  There were many up and down battles that were lost by her, but Victory belongs to Jesus! And God has all power!

 

       Shayla is now a member of the Paradise of Praise Ministry Church and is pushing harder than ever to make it known that Jesus is the reason old things are passed away, and ALL things have become new!!! It is "ON HER HEART" to let it be known that you can over come any situation with Christ Jesus, King Jesus, El Shadi on your side! The passion that is ON Shayla's HEART is to see the youth succeed in life, as a  young adult herself she wants to help in anyway she can to make sure that every young man and women that needs motivation, and inspiration to over come, and press on will receive it when they come into contact with her.Shayla would like all young men and women who want a second chance to receive one.  She also hopes that she can reach the young men and women of this world before second chances are needed.  Shayla is hoping to have a positive impact on the lives of all the youth that come across this web site or into contact with her.

   

Some of the programs that will be available in the near future as ON MY HEART grows include; "Let's Learn” a tutoring program for youth of all ages, "Just Say It” a teen discussion group, GED preparation classes and assistance with testing, recovery meetings and counseling services, day camps, "Read to Me" a reading circle for grades K-5 to promote literacy, performing arts participation which will include public; musical, theatrical, and dance performances. There will also be events that the YOUTH of ON MY HEART will participate in to enrich and serve the surrounding communities.  

  

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold all things are become new!
